Working on the Narrative style of written description. This is the first draft, I’ll combine all of the episodes into one “story” when it’s completed.
On July 12th, Maleg the explorer set out upon a riverboat with a small party of sellswords and guards. He’s on a mission for the mystic Mor-Pan, to discover the status of the legendary Sounding Bridge.
The weather was fair, and they spent 7 hours traveling up the River until the riverboat was unable to proceed further.
The group made camp and began discussing the plans for the morrow.
Roll for nighttime encounter, double sixes equals demon emissary! I decided to draw an event card and got wolves! Sacrifice one resource to escape.
During the night, the camp was attacked by wolves! Koss was on watch and managed to gather some of the supplies onto one of the load beasts while the rest of the group gathered up their belongings.
By abandoning one of the load beasts to the wolves the group was able to escape downstream. While they did lose some of their equipment, they managed to save their lives, although they did get a little bit disoriented in the Darkness. They had to spend the entire day of the 13th traveling north along the stream Bank in order to make up the Lost ground. They made camp further upstream, and on the night of the 13th they suffered no encounters.
On the 14th, they hiked three miles up the canyon and discovered the sounding bridge was very much still in existence. They had to travel a couple more miles in order to find a path out of the canyon and up to the canyon rim. They followed this path around to the north to the lower, and smaller, set of village ruins at the end of the bridge.
While the bridge was still intact, the village was very much in a shambles. Most of the buildings had collapsed and they began an investigation in the southwest corner. After 2 hours of exploration, the group encountered a pack of rats!
Koss & Aghar moved forward to intercept the rats, and while Aghar was able to defeat the rats, she was bitten quite badly and fell unconscious for 11 rounds.
Koss tended to Aghar’s wounds, while the rest of the group investigated the ruins of this section. They discovered a 20-foot-tall statue of a humanoid creature, which was unidentifiable as the head of the statue had fallen or been destroyed.
When Aghar recovered, the group continued to explore. They found a hatch in one of the ruined buildings that led down underground, and in a partially blocked alley they found a staircase going down...
